Donnybrook Dental Surgery has been established for over 25 years. Donnybrook Dental Surgery is an amalgam free practice (white restorations only). All of the practitioners are very competent and are committed to continuing education, bringing a wealth of experience, knowledge and skills to the practice.
Meet our team
Dr Amani Ryan
Dr Ryan graduated from Sydney University in 1991, Amani is the driving force behind Donnybrook Dental Surgery. Amani took on this practice in 2003, and has seen it grow steadily. She keeps in touch with the latest techniques and provides state of the art equipment and materials, ensuring that country people get the best dental care that can be had anywhere. Amani has particular interest and skills in the areas of surgery and dental implants.
Dr Hemanthi Allaparthi
Dr Hemanthi Allaparthi graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University in Karnataka India in 2003. Hemanthi has competently passed the Australian Dental Council Exams. Hemanthi spent several years working in both specialist and general dental practice. Hemanthi has very strong clinical skills in all areas of general dentistry. Hemanthi has a particular interest in the areas of periodontics and endodontics. Hemanthi also has a particular interest in children’s dentistry and she is very popular with young children.
Dr Anish Shah
Dr Anish Shah joined our practice in December 2018. Anish is a graduate from the University of Western Australia. Anish has more than 10 years experience, and has very strong clinical skills in all areas of general dentistry.
Dr Navvy Kaur
Dr Navvy Kaur joined our practice in December 2017. Navvy grew up in India and graduated from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab, India in 2014. Navvy has competently passed the Australian Dental Council Exams. Navvy is proficient and experienced in all areas of general dentistry.
Dr Christine Chin
Dr Christine Chin Joined our practice in December 2018 after graduating from the University of Queensland in 2018. Christine is proficient in all areas of general dentistry.
Mr Jason Sims
Jason is our visiting prosthetist who visits the practice weekly. Jason has over 18 years of experience in the field of dental prosthetics. Jason works closely with the dentists providing cosmetic and comfortable dentures. Jason also carries out denture repairs and relines. Jason has been providing his services in Donnybrook since 2003.
National Dental Plan
National Dental Plan is a payment plan that allows you to start treatment now, pay over time and no interest ever. With NDP you could start up to $9000 in treatments today and spread the cost over easy to manage fortnightly payments. Applying is easy and takes a few minutes. To be eligible you must be 18 years+, an Australian citizen/permanent resident with a drivers licence, employed/self employed for 30+ hours a week, or an aged/veteran pensioner. You must also have a bank account or credit card in your name. Enquire now and our friendly staff will assist with your application.
Pensioners and Health Care Card Holders
If you have a Government Concession or Health Care Card, receive a pension or a regular Centrelink income, you may be eligible for government funding for your dental treatment. With some simple checks we can determine your eligibility and apply for funding. Depending on your eligibility you may be entitled to up to 50% or 75% funding from the government. Funding applications take 6-8 weeks for approval and once received, treatment can commence.
Nils – No Interest Loans Scheme
Pension and Health Care card holders may be eligible to apply for a NILS loan which has no fees, no charges, and no interest. Loans can be from $300-$1200.
Health Insurance – BUPA / HCF / NIB / MEDIBANK PRIVATE
Health insurance is an option that can assist with covering general dental and major dental bills. We are a BUPA, NIB, MEDIBANK PRIVATE and HCF provider so our patients have less out-of-pocket costs with us.
Depending on the health insurance cover you choose, your health fund benefits will vary. Some annual limits apply for some types of treatment, so you should check with your health insurer.
Our patients can make regular deposits to our bank account which will be held in deposit for for their dental treatment. Putting small amounts away in deposit on a regular basis means the funds are there when you need them.
